FACSAria III 3L - Irchel 3

Sorter specifications

4 lasers, 405 nm (violet),  488nm (blue), 561 nm (yellow/green) and 633 nm (red) are spatially separated for excitation of 16 parameters as described in the optical configuration. Please notice that 405 nm laser is running at about 50% of the standard output power and corresponding channels should not be used for important or dim signals.

70 µm, 85 µm, 100 µm and 130 µm nozzles are available for cell sorting of material ranging from bacteria to fat cells or tubules.

Please consult our guidelines for sample preparation if you are unclear about how to prepare your cells for sorting.

Sorted cells can be collected in up to

  • 4 x 5 ml tubes,
  • 2 x 15 ml falcons,
  • 4 x 1.5 ml eppis,
  • 6 well, 24 well, 48 well, 96 well and 384 well plates
  • onto microscopic slides or custom made collection devices

Samples as well as collected cells can be kept at desired temperature (4° - 42°C).

No aerosol management system installed! Only biosafety level 1 and non-critical BSL2 samples should be run on this machine.

The sorter is operated by independent power users, power user in training and via operator based sorts.
